Clare Instruments has a range of training courses designed to meet the requirements of manufacturers, service organisations and hire companies. The courses are presented by Clare’s skilled training staff at either the Northern facility based in County Durham or the Southern facility in West Sussex.

The courses are designed to provide a combination of practical and theoretical advice with clear focus on electrical safety and product application. In addition, Clare offers the service of onsite training programmes where customers wish to involve a number of staff in their own premises.

Safety in the testing environment (EN50191)

Based upon the European standard EN50191 this 1 day course is ideal for all organisations that utilise voltages over 50V AC in their manufacturing, service or test development facilities. The course leads participants through the requirements of the standard and gives consideration to practical situations in a variety of environments. The course considers the different types of test regimes and various manufacturing test organisations on a highlighting type of equipment required and the precautions that need to be taken to fulfil health and safety procedures.

The course is suitable for Health and Safety Managers, Supervisors, Test Engineers, and Technicians and any individuals who have the responsibility for electrical safety or who may be working in potentially hazardous situations.

Safe, Efficient and Effective Testing

This particular course is designed to maximise the effectiveness of safety procedures while enhancing productivity. The course is tailored to the company’s individual test requirements and is based upon the test equipment utilised within their facility.

The course is a combination of practical and theoretical training and the objective of ensuring that all participants are capable of carrying out product testing under safe control conditions that meet the manufacturing objectives of the company.

Electrical Appliance Testing This course is aimed at fulfilling the Electricity at Work regulations. The day enables participants to evaluate practical aspects of testing by ways of fulfilling testing needs, record keeping. In addition typical faults and problems are analysed highlighting best practice and ensuring through understanding of the subject.
